WhatsApp remarketing

An automatic message from the shop's WhatsApp to customers whose last repair was a while ago.

Who receives it

The app checks every hour and sends at most 10 messages per run.

  • Customers who agreed to automatic messages (consent on the customer record)
  • With at least one delivered repair, the latest more than the set number of days ago (90 by default)
  • Who haven't received this message within the set minimum gap (180 days by default)

What you need

  • WhatsApp set up in the app (Business ID, Phone Number ID and token) — the same as the WhatsApp bot
  • A message template created and APPROVED in your Meta Business account, in Portuguese (pt)
  • The remarketing module active on the OficinaOS Cloud account (during the beta, we switch it on)

Setting it up

Menu → Notifications → Channels → WhatsApp section → automatic remarketing. Set the idle days, the minimum gap between messages and the Meta template name (oficinaos_remarketing by default).

The template gets two variables: {{1}} is the customer's first name and {{2}} the shop's name. The app suggests a Portuguese body along the lines of: “Hi {{1}}! It's been a while since your last repair at {{2}}. If your device needs attention, we're here to help.”

Honest limits

  • These are shop-initiated messages: Meta charges for each template message — Meta's cost, not ours
  • WhatsApp only, not SMS
  • The template is always sent in Portuguese (pt)
  • If a send fails (e.g. template not approved), that customer is only retried after the minimum gap
  • The app must be running for the checks to happen
